New Year!

This is our Christmas picture! I made those stockings myself! It was my first ever sewing project!

So it's already March I can't believe it! I promised to be better at blogging but I'm already such a slacker. It's mostly because I just think blogger is hard and confusing. It is seriously a huge feat for me to do a post! I have lots to learn.

Anyways, we hope everyone had a fun Christmas! We sure did. December was a crazy month that went by way too fast. Jeff survived his last finals of his undergrad, and I worked a ton...even on Christmas Eve day! But we had a great time spending Christmas with Jeff's family, and then we got to go back to Colorado and spend New Years with mine. Is anyone else obsessed with Just Dance on the wii?? My parents got it for Christmas, so a lot of our time at home was spent doing this....

Guess what I got for Christmas!! A new mountain bike! Jeff has been wanting to get me a new bike for forever, and he finally found the perfect one. It's so pretty, I never thought I'd have such a nice bike! Jeff can tell you about all the awesome components and stuff like that, but I just love how it looks! Jeff has always been into biking, but now I can go too! I have never understood how much Jeff loves his bike... I mean, if he loves our kids as much as he loves his bike, I think they'll turn out ok. But seriously, when we moved into our house, he wanted to mount his bike onto the wall in our bedroom, but of course I said "heck no." But now that I have my own, I'm starting to kinda wish mine was mounted on the wall too! It will be a fun summer!

In January, we went to the BYU vs. SDSU basketball game with Kendyle and Steve. It was actually really fun! We had probably the worst possible seats in the whole stadium, but I thought they were the best ever! We were in the very very last row all the way at the top, but we thought they were great because we had the wall to lean up against the whole time. Totally worth $5.
A few weeks ago it was Jeff's turn to plan our date night, so he came home from work with two beta fish. His idea for our date was for each of us to pick a fish and then let them fight to see whose won. Is my husband sick and twisted or what!!?? Haha, I wouldn't let him do it, and he eventually felt really bad for having the idea. So, now I'm stuck with two pet fish. And guess where he put them? In my apothecary jars! And he loves them now too, and won't let me get rid of them! Oh how the tables have turned. I should have just let him fight them.
I almost forgot our biggest news of all! We've finally decided where we're going to medical school....Kansas City! This school is a great fit for Jeff and it will be fun and exciting to live in a new place! Missouri has lots of church history sites which I'm excited for, and apparently they have the best BBQ in the country. My goal is to get Jeff to love BBQ sauce over the next 4 years. Only downsides....no family, and no mountains. Good thing Southwest has $59 flights to and from KC! And as far as the mountains go, we will just have to force ourselves to be good navigators, which means strapping a GPS to ourselves permanently. But we're excited for a new adventure, and ready to get this med school thing underway. I'm so proud of Jeff for all he's accomplished! All of his hard work has paid off so far, and I know we have a really exciting future ahead of us because of him. Kansas City here we come!!
